Besides from pushing speakers around and hanging lights, Pat enjoys a spot of gardening or tinkering with his newest engine when he gets a free minute.

History of Nomad Live - 10 Years of service

Nomad Live was founded in Frome, Somerset in 2014 by Luke Emery - initially as Nomad Audio Solutions. Luke began by providing audio support to small-scale local events. The business quickly expanded from a modest Peavey console with a built-in amplifier to a comprehensive band set up. The company’s first full professional audio system - an Electro voice RX setup with Crown XTI amplifiers operated from an SI Expression - led to an increased presence and reputation in the local events world in the South West.

The growth of the company was supported by Luke’s varied freelance work as a stagehand, gaining valuable insights at renowned stages such as the Other Stage at Glastonbury Festival for SKAN.

Nomad swiftly built up a clientele list that they still provide for today, including The Enrichments, Roth Bar & Grill / Hauser & Wirth, and Glastonbury Festival. Maintaining these long standing relationships with local clients, while growing the outreach of the company is a key throughline of Nomad’s approach to supporting local enterprise.

Nomad remained committed to improving and updating the equipment provided to clients. In 2017 Nomad invested in L-Acoustics, employing Arcs to elevate audio quality and undertake larger events. Lighting, stage, screens and other production were also invested in to expand the service from solely audio hire. Now Nomad could cater for a wide range of small to medium scale production requirements, the team began to produce events end to end as the single service provider.

As the corporate and business to business side of Nomad grew, the demand for content creation led to further investment in video production. Nomad is now brought on as a partner for many digital projects involving film and creative lighting.

Nomad Live has grown steadily to now support a full team of talented technicians, warehouse operatives and operations staff. Alongside this Nomad Live has a good reputation and links with the freelance technicians in the industry.

Currently, Nomad is actively engaged in high-end wedding / party production, creative exterior lighting projects and corporate A/V. From large mirror ball canopies in exclusive venues, to live streaming and digital content creation. The future looks bright for Nomad Live, 2024 is set to be the busiest year on record as they celebrate 10 years of service to the live event industry.

Whatever you’re planning, we can help you build a successful event.
